LG makes great plasma TVs and if you are looking for a 50"+ screen size, plasma is usually better than LCD or LED in this price range.
Lacks 3D capability and you may be able to find another LG or equally good brand at a slightly lower price.
Overall: 3D costs twice as much or more, but is the wave of the future. This may be why so many HD plasmas are coming down in price so much. If you're not fussed about 3D, now is the time to buy HD. Compare prices before you buy, though. This is not the cheapest available.
